The Next Big Things Who Has Zero Singles
Similar to Sabrina Carpenter’s hit album this is going to be short ‘n sweet. I was on TikTok awhile back one night mid spliff in fall of 2024 and discovered an artist who not only got my curiosity but caught my undivided attention.
His name is Joshua Sloane. I hyperlinked his name so you can look up what he has online currently. He reminded me of the first time I first heard Oliver Anthony in terms of pure emotion. I’m not that knowledgeable in the game of country music so please take this with a grain of salt. In terms of the country I like mostly blue grass banjo vibes and outlaw country like Colter Wall type vibes. Josh is a little different but the songwriting and guitar playing speaks for itself.
Now, I’ve been following Joshua Sloane for months and I’m not going to say he’s writing the deepest stuff I’ve heard or the most complex music but sometimes the good shit doesn’t need any of that, it just needs to be honest. Sloane’s music does just that. Honestly not much left to say about this other than he’s next up for a great album as which was just announced to be 16 tracks. He is opening for Zach Bryan so if you don’t believe he’s going to be a good artist well I think the guy who has been selling out stadium despite his break up being broadcast across the nation should be a good reference and bode of confidence that this guy can rip it. The craziest part - this guy has developed a cult following without releasing a single song; this could be the start of a generational run. Think of listening to his music now in the same ilk as buying Apple stock before Steve Jobs was born. Do with that information what you will but remember when he blows up I have been saying this to any and everyone for months and only now just decided to write about it for this post.
